Why Japan

Japan pulled me in completely - with the contrast between the neon buzz of the big cities and the silence of the temples, with the warmth of the people and the food I could talk about for hours. I went back several times and each time I discovered something new: lesser-known districts, local spots with no English menu, train connections you won't find in just any guidebook.

How I get around Japan

I know this country on my own two feet, not from brochures. I know which train to take and from which platform, when a JR Pass pays off and when it's money down the drain, where to eat the best ramen and what time to be at the torii gates to avoid the crowds. I get by on the ground and feel confident there - which is why I can pass that confidence on to you.

What my help looks like

I save you dozens of hours of research and costly mistakes. I build a route tailored to your budget, your days and what you're really after - and if you want, I keep an eye on the trip while you're there too. I'm young, but that's exactly why I'm up to date: with prices, apps, trends and the realities of travelling here and now.

Honestly

I'm not a travel agency in the legal sense - this is an advisory and organisational service. I don't hide costs and I tell you straight when a budget is unrealistic - I'd rather say „that won't fit” than sell you a disappointment. I want your trip to be exactly the one you dream of.

My favourite places in Japan

• Dawn at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto - the tunnels of torii gates completely empty.
• Little izakaya in the side streets, where no one speaks English and the food is the best.
• Hot springs (onsen) in the mountains - the silence, the steam and a view you never forget.
